Fear
It hides in the dark and shadowy corners of our rooms, invisible like the air we breathe. It wanders on our world and observes us as we live with our lives.
It’s waiting for its host, a person so hungry and ambitious. striking at a random time and moving through their veins before even knowing if they can handle such a substance.
That person is now cursed with the delusion of being a chosen one. Because that’s what it does. It controls you and it makes you want to control others; when in reality it is controlling not only controlling you, but everything.
the people around them become disposable, pieces to be moved and replaced. It feeds on attention and obedience, and the more it is fed, the more it demands. The host becomes addicted, searching endlessly for another dose, until the hunger consumes them.
the host is both the jailer and the prisoner; they lock others beneath them while locking themselves inside their own craving. Yet the host is never innocent. It does not choose its victims at random. it only enters those who were already waiting for it. It does not create the desire to rule over others; it reveals the desire that was always there.
